When we went to see the statue of the Cristo Redentor (Christ, the Redeemer) on the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, it wasn’t the sunniest of days. It was, in fact, quite cloudy. We were only able to get sort of clear pictures of the magnificent statue from between the diaphanous curtains of passing clouds. One minute this amazing monolith was clearly visible, the other minute it was covered by the clouds. In one of pictures, you can actually see the clouds floating by:
